Biographical Note
Raymond Charles Higgins (1930-1979) was born on January 9, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ivy Gwendolyn Banham and Leonard Alec Higgins. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. In 1958, he married Ann Kimball; the two later divorced. In 1976, he married Jaynie Thompson; the two also divorced. Initially in his career, Higgins worked as a marketing representative in Denver, Colorado and New York for the Coca Cola Company. In 1960, he returned to Salt Lake City, where he started his own advertising firm, Higgins, Hoggan and Hall. In addition to his work in advertising, Higgins worked for KSXX radio station for 12 years, where he broadcasted under the name Fred J. Glotz. Raymond C. Higgins died in April 1979.

The Raymond Charles Higgins photograph collection consists of 20 black-and-white prints and negatives depicting Higgens' life, family, service in the Navy, and career in radio broadcasting under the name Fred J. Glotz. The collection dates from approximately 1930 to 1970.
