Biographical Note
Radcliffe Quine was born in German parish, Isle of Man on July 2, 1826. He migrated to the East Coast of the U.S. in 1844, moved to California in 1854 and to the Fraser River gold fields in 1858, after which he settled in Seattle.
Content Description
Letters written at Victoria, British Columbia (1861), and Seattle (1878-85), addressed to family members on the Isle of Man, all generally concerning pioneer life in British Columbia and Seattle.
