Historical Note
George A. Trowbridge was an Episcopalian rector in Manhattan, New York. He and his wife, Jean, worked with the World Federation of Hungarian Freedom Fighters and those displaced from Hungary in Austrian refugee camps.

Collection contains correspondence, biographical information on Trowbridge, meeting minutes and agendas, newspaper and periodical clippings, photographs and scrapbooks, sermons delivered by Trowbridge, materials related to the Trowbridges’ work with Hungarian refugees, a diary, and other miscellaneous material from Trowbridge’s career.
