Historical Note

The Latah County Pioneer Association was formed in 1891 to celebrate and preserve the experiences of the men and women who settled in the region. Membership was restricted to individuals who arrived prior to 1878. They joined with the Moscow Historical Club in 1968 to form the Latah County Historical Society in which their mission was to create and manage a museum at the McConnell Mansion and serve as an archive for the county.
