Historical NoteReturn to Top

Maurice Richlin was born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1920. He wrote comedy scripts for radio during the 1940s and, as television grew in popularity, wrote for the early television comedy shows such as the Alan Young Show, the Dennis Day Show, and the Ray Bolger Show. Richlin also wrote several motion picture comedy scripts. Notables for Richlin were the “Pink Panther,” “Pillow Talk,” and “Operation Petticoat.” He won awards for all three screenplays. Others included “Come September,” and “My Favorite Comrade.” Richlin died in 1990.
