Historical Note

Dorothy Kliewer was a member of the Western Writers of America and the Oregon History Society. She researched and wrote popular articles for such pulp magazines as "True West", and she wrote academic papers on Oregon history. She also wrote several books including "Pony Rider Boys". In the 1990s she became a popular murder mystery writer.

Content Description

The Dorothy Kliewer collection contains spiral note pads, plus research materials on the Neahkanie treasure and Solomon Teherow (Wagon Master). There are also a couple of "True West" magazines with her articles including "Abiqua Battle in Booze", and copies of her book, "Pony Rider Boys", plus others.
