Summary
The William Glasmann papers (1916, 1984-1988) contain correspondence and research for a manuscript written about Glasmann, as well as a copy of the manuscript. William Glasmann was an editor, orator, and politician. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1880 and established a buffalo ranch on the shore of the Great Salt Lake. He left the ranch for journalism in 1892, and later served as national organizer for the Silver party and vice president of the National Republican League.

Historical Note

William Glasmann (1858-1916) was an editor, orator, and politician. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1880 and established a buffalo ranch on the shore of the Great Salt Lake. He left the ranch for journalism in 1892, and in 1896 was appointed national organizer for the Silver party. The same year, he served as vice president of the National Republican League. Glasmann died on May 12, 1916 at his home in Ogden, Utah.
