The University of Wyoming, Native American and Indigenous Studies Program (NAIS), once named the University of Wyoming, American Indian Studies Program, focuses on Native American communities and the social, political, and economic systems within them. The program also brings attention to the culture and history of Native American and indigenous communities as well as the problems that face them.

Content Description

The collection contains information on the Eastern Shoshone language, including a dictionary compiled by David Leedom Shaul, a glossary, a grant proposal, and a summary of the program. It also includes access to the archived department website. This collection also includes student and faculty papers, course descriptions, and information on indigenous groups.
