Biographical Note

Public official

Jack Gorrie was born in 1911. He was educated in Seattle, Washington, public schools. He served as the assistant to the Governor, State of Washington, from 1945-1949. In 1949 he joined the National Security Resources Board, and later became Executive Assistant to the Chairman. He was appointed chairman of the Board in 1953. Gorrie worked for the Democratic Party, and the Stuart Symington presidential campaign, 1959-1960.
