Biographical Note
William F. Holcomb received his Bachelor of Science degree from NMSU and his Masters of Science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Idaho. He worked with the Argonne National Laboratory and Allied Chemical at the Idaho NRTS.

Historical Background
The Idaho Chemical Processing Plant opened in 1953. The Idaho National Reactor Testing Station (NRTS) was established in 1949 and is now the Idaho National Laboratory. It was declared a National Historic Site in 1966.
