Historical NoteReturn to Top

Erle P. Halliburton established the Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Company in 1919 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Prior to opening the business, Halliburton worked as a maintenance engineer for Perkins Oil Well Cementing Company. Halliburton developed his business as president and general manager, operating in twenty-two states with 50,000 wells. Outside of Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Co., he also became an oil producer in the Gulf Coast, producing 30,000 barrels annually.
