Robert and Shirley Strom photographs, 2008

Robert C. Strom was born on September 11, 1927 in Kellogg, Idaho to Clarence and Myrtle Strom. Robert was a U of I College of LAw alum, and practiced law for about fifty-five years. He served on the Idaho Constitutional Revision Commission and was general consul for the Nez Perce Tribe, and served as clerk on the highland School District School Board and attorney for the city of Craigmont. Robert died on March 18, 2008.

Shirley Longeteig Strom was born in Craigmont to Iver J. and Frances Longeteig. She attended the University of Idaho, where she met Robert Strom. After her graduation they married and moved back to Craigmont. Shirley was a founding member of the Idaho Political Caucus and was a member of the Idaho Humanities Council. She also served as U of I's Alumni Association president from 1982-1983. Shirley died on December 5, 2012.
