Biographical Note
William Edward Lloyd Dahle was born on September 25, 1906 to Jemima Evans and Ammon Dahle. Jeanette Ione Tonge Dahle was born on September 10, 1910 to Hannah Jackson and Peter Tonge. The two married on October 8, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lloyd Dahle died on December 30, 1961. Jeanette Tonge Dahle remarried to Elmer Lynn "Pete" Dunkin on April 8, 1972, in Elko, Nevada. Elmer Dunkin died on April 16, 1985. Jeanette Tonge Dahle Dunkin died on January 9, 2001.
Content Description
The William Lloyd and Jeanette Tonge Dahle photograph collection consists of 2 boxes containing 27 black-and-white photograph prints dating from approximately the 1960s. Box 1 contains images of Temple Square, the Salt Lake Temple, and This is the Place. Box 2 is oversized and contains images of the Utah State Capitol. The photographs appear to be taken by a professional photographer, although no photographer is identified through stamp or caption.
