Historical Note
The Liz Sherry digital photograph collection documents Liz Sherry's membership on the University of Utah Ski Team from 1999 to 2001. The images document Liz and her teammates skiing at various events, including the 1999 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Skiing Championships. The images were donated by Liz in conjunction with the Celebration on Snow reunion and event. The Celebration on Snow was a 2008 event and reunion to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Utah's Ski Team and skiing program. The event was held at the Snowbird Mountain Resort in Utah on April 18 through 20th, 2008, and was open to former members of the ski team, their families, and supporters of the program. The program coincided with the annual ski team banquet; in addition to this, it featured skiing, a family scavenger hunt, and other activities. It also featured a program honoring the 2008 Ski Team, who had placed on the podium of the NCAA Skiing Championships, as well as past team and individual NCAA champions.
Content Description
The Liz Sherry digital photograph collection contains 30 digital-only images depicting the University of Utah Ski Team skiing and at events between about 1999 and 2000.
The original images were loaned to the library and were scanned and then returned to the donor. These images are available online. The image files can be requested, but the library no longer has the original images.
