Historical Note
Eckankar, the Religion of the Light and Sound of God, was founded by Paul Twitchell in 1965. This nonprofit organization has church headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has memberships throughout the world. Eckankar's basic beliefs largely focus on an individuals spiritual essence and one's connection with God.
