Content Description

Photographs of farming in the Yakima Valley, including views of orchards, fruit, farming activities, and farmers' homes. It includes a series of photographs of artesian wells drilled in the Moxee Valley near Pomona, Washington. Also includes a bird's-eye map of the Yakima Valley and a 1909 promotional poster with a W.P Romans panorama photograph of the Yakima Valley. Many of the photographs are by Webster & Stevens. This album was most likely used to encourage settlement in the Yakima Valley by showing the bountiful crops and abundant water sources.
