Historical Note

Rebecca Brown Mitchell was born on January 23, 1834 in Illinois. Mitchell is well known for being a suffragist in Idaho during the 1880s-1900s for the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She wrote the manuscript "Glimpses from the life of Rebecca Brown Mitchell" some time before her death in 1908.
