Biographical Note
Herb Pruzan was born in Seattle, December 7, 1935, attending Garfield High School and graduating from University of Washington in 1956. He worked for his father's company, the Pruzan Company, which provided cable television systems. Pruzan also served as President of the Jewish Community Center, Temple de Hirsch Sinai, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.
Content Description
Oral history conducted on October 8, 2012 with Nancy Blase and Arlene Cohen. Pruzan discusses his family and his childhood in Seattle, specifically his time at Garfield High School and his involvement in Aleph Zeta Aleph (AZA) fraternity. He recounts his father's pioneer business as a distributor for the telephone and cable television industries. He also discusses his time as President of the Jewish Community Center, Temple de Hirsch Sinai, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. The accession also includes a copy of Pruzan's memoirs "Memory Notes".
