Historical Note
William Bloom (1899-1972) was an anatomist. He began his career as an assistant pathologist at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in 1923. Beginning in 1926, Bloom studied as a Douglas Smith Fellow in anatomy at the University of Chicago and later continued as a professor of anatomy.
