Kern of Portland, including receipts, invoices, and bills concerning his house on Powell Blvd., Portland, Oregon, built ca. 1891; and one (1) issue of "The Northwest Magazine," 1892 April, containing a picture and description of the Kern house.

1 document case containing: documents relating to John W. Kern of Portland: his inventions, trip to New York and Philadelphia to sell his rangefinder design, construction of residence at 30th and Powell in Portland, the Waverly Baby Home, WCTU speech by his wife, Sarah Kern, and family papers.
