Historical Note
Diana Gould was a television producer and script writer who was born in New York City. She graduated with a B.A. from U.C.L.A. in 1967. She was an independent screenwriter and producer in Los Angeles where she helped to make Dynasty, Kay O’Brien, Berrengers, Jenny, I Love You—Goodbye, The Other Women, and I’ll Take Manhattan. She was executive story consultant to Knots Landing. She was a member of the Hollywood Women’s Political Commission, the Temescal Canyon Association, and the Writers Guild of America West. She earned the Writing Award from the Population Institute in 1974.

The Diana Gould collection includes film and television scripts which she wrote or collected. The material contains scripts of the television series Knots Landing and Dynasty, plus The Berrengers and Hamburger House.

Acquisition InformationThe Diana Gould scripts, 1974-1986, were given to the American Heritage Center by Diana Gould in 1983 (14 record boxes) and 1987 (5 record boxes). A document box of appraisal materials was received in 1988. The papers were received in good condition and order.
Processing Note
Processing InformationThe collection was processed by John Hanks in September 2001. Original folder titles have been retained.
