Biographical Note
Carol Burnham Thomas and her husband James attended Boise Junior College from 1939 to 1943.
Content Description
Included in the collection are pages of a scrapbook from the school year 1941-1942. Thomas saved clippings from the Idaho Statesman focusing on activities in which she took part. A program accompanies the article on the annual Foreign Language Night directed by Camille Power. Clippings from BJC's student newspaper add gossipy tidbits of her courtship with her future husband before he entered the Army in 1942.
The collection also includes several dance cards from campus functions, homecomings, proms, and formals. Notes on the cards offer Thomas' personal impressions of the event.
