Summary
The Division of International Education administered the international programs of the University of Utah. Included were international and area studies, study programs abroad, educational exchanges, and international contract programs. Prior to 1970, international programs were administered by the Institute of International Studies. This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, meeting minutes, grant applications, and reports. Included are progress reports for the contract project at Haile Sellassie I University in Ethiopia, as well as grant applications and reports of a summer program at the University of Teheran in Iran. The collection also contains memoranda related to the development of area studies programs at the University of Utah and correspondence and meeting minutes of the Middle East Center and of the Utah International Education Consortium.
