Biographical Note
William D. Knight came to Spokane in 1887 to manage the Spokane Chronicle, which he had purchased from H.T. Cowley. He operated the newpaper for a year and then sold it to J.J. Browne.
Content Description
The collection consists of a three page typed reminiscence, with corrections and annotations, detailing Knight's arrival in Spokane in 1889, his purchase of the Spokane Chronicle, and his subsequent career until sale of the newspaper in 1890.
