Biographical Note
Joy Margaret Spurr (1919-2009) was a professional photographer who ran the company NatureView Photo. She photographed all over the world and was an author and lecturer. She moved to Seattle in 1940 and later moved to Issaquah in 1988. She was a member of the Woodland Park Zoological Society, Puget Sound Mycological Society, the Arboretum Foundation, Evergreen Rock Club and Issaquah Rock Center. Content Description
Slides of nature photography by Joy Spurr and related paperwork from photography trips. Images include wildlife, mushrooms, rocks, insects, amphibians, and some personal photographs of Spurr and her husband. Locations include the western, southwestern and plain states in the United States, as well as South American, African, and Asian countries.
