Historical Note

According to the records of the Walla Walla County, Washington post office, the first official post office in the area was established at Wailepta, Walla Walla County, Washington on June 2, 1858. Originally called the Wailepta Post Office, its name was changed to the Walla Walla Post Office on September 8, 1862, and has served Walla Walla County since.
