Historical Note

Professor Robert L. Stoltz was an extension entomologist and faculty professor at the University of Idaho Twin Falls Research & Extension Center. He oversaw the Cooperative Extension Service of the Department of Entomology. He has written academic articles, journals, and books about blackflies, beacon, ants, wasps, silverfish, beetles, moths, cockroaches, termites, spiders, ticks, and grasshoppers. He also researched diseases and pests in trees, crops, potatoes, corn, alfalfa, gardens, onions, melons, squash, wireworms, and wheat. He also wrote recommendations and instructions for livestock, equipment dipping vats, equipment seed, forestry, and biological control.

This collection includes handbooks, academic journals, research and articles about entomology. Primarily written by Stoltz, his research primarily focuses on diseases and parasites in animals and plants, and the control of pests in agriculture and gardening.
