Content Description

The Annual and Biennial Reports consists of published reports prepared from the earliest years of Oregon State University in the 1870s through the 2000s.  Most reports were prepared by the President.  The reports document the administration of the institution as well as all functions and activities -- facilities and finances, academic programs, student services and activities, extension and outreach across the state of Oregon, and research.

Most reports (more than 50 total) from the 1870s through 1960s are available online in Oregon Digital.

Arrangement

The Annual and Biennial Reports are arranged in 4 series: 1.  Annual and Biennial Reports, 1872-2007; 2. Biennial Report Preparation Papers, 1932-1971; 3. Staff Statistics for 1930/1931 thru 1944/1945, 1934-1944; and 4. Microfilmed Annual and Biennial Reports, 1872-1964.

Acquisition Information

These materials were received by the former University Archives in multiple transfers from the Office of the President and by distribution of published reports.

Processing Note

Microfilmed annual and biennial reports that were previously described as university publications (PUB 001-21a and PUB 001-21b) were transferred into this collection at the time this finding aid was prepared in 2021-2022.
