- Berwyn Burke was the editor of the Hailey Times from 1948-1967. Mr. Burke assisted Pete Cenarrusa in many of his political campaigns, including his first one for the Idaho Legislature as representative from the Blaine County area. The collection includes early advertising layouts and ad copy for Pete Cenarrusa's campaigns, correspondence between the two friends and newspaper articles about Mr. Cenarrusa.

Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Berwyn Burke was the editor of the Hailey Times from 1948-1967. Mr. Burke assisted Pete Cenarrusa in many of his political campaigns, including his first one for the Idaho Legislature as representative from the Blaine County area. Until his death in 1971, Mr. Burke provided writing assistance and was an informal advisor to Mr. Cenarrusa.
