Biographical Note
Edward Morgan Forster (1879-1970) was an English novelist, and Bloomsbury Group member, who wrote five novels and several short stories throughout his career. He received his undergraduate education at Kings College, Cambridge, and was a frequent traveler to India, Egypt, and France.

Two autograph letters, signed, from E. M. Forster to T. H. Marshall, brother of Ray Garnett and Frances Partridge, referring to Forster's delivering the Clark lectures. One letter is dated January 1927 and the other is undated.
