Biographical Note

Patrick "Pat" N. Miller (1948-2013) was a native to Mexico, Maine and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. While at Fort Lewis, Miller was named "All-American in Nordic Combined" (1970). Miller received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Fort Lewis and his Masters of Commercial Recreation from the University of Utah (1976). He then continued to be named the Director of the Men's and Women's Ski Team and maintained that position for 21 years. Under his leadership, the team won several championships on the local and national level.

In addition to the work done with the University of Utah Ski Team, Miller also served as the Chair of the selection committee for collegiate skiing's All-American Team (1979), the Utah sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors, and on the boards of ski archives for both the Marriott Library and the state of Utah.

Content Description

The Pat Miller collection consists of mainly skiing memorabilia such as awards, Utah ski uniforms, and a scrapbook. Additionally included are newspaper clippings, articles, and manuscript relating to Miller's involvement on various ski boards.
