Entire accession documents an exhibit, "Auschwitz, a Crime Against Mankind," which was shown in Seattle in March 1987. Docent's notes contain background material and chronology of development of the concentration camp.

Scope and Content: Book related to Holocaust exhibit.

Softbound book "Anne Frank in the World 1929-1945" reproduced photographs from a large Anne Frank exhibit co-sponsored by local Jewish agencies, one of which was Washington State Jewish Historical Society. Accompanying text gives background information on the Holocaust period.

Scope and Content: "Coat of Many Colors" exhibit preparation files.

Floor plan sketches, lists of photographs and artifacts, texts of captions, etc. from the "Coat of Many Colors" exhibit that took place from April 15-July 15, 1983 at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle. It was sponsored by the WASJHS. The exhibit documented Seattle Jewish history, 1880-1930.

Scope and Content: Videotape "Coat of Many Colors" depicts history of Seattle's Jewish community from the 1860s to ca. 1940s. This 60-minute tape was made by David Shulman, based on a script by Howard Droker. It was sponsored by WSJHS but is not connected to the 1983 exhibit which had the same title, "Coat of Many Colors."

Scope and Content: Timeline "The Jewish Experience in Washington State" is a chronology from 1853 to 1983. Much of the information came from Jewish Archives Project in U.W. Manuscripts section and from newspapers at MIC/NEWS.
