Biographical Note

Peter Fenn worked as Senator Frank Church's Chief of Staff during the 1970s, and he was on the staff of the Senate Intelligence Committee chaired by Sen. Church. He later founded Fenn Communications Group, a political and public relations firm based in Washington D.C.

Content Description

The Peter Fenn Papers includes correspondence, notes, legislation, articles, media plans, press releases, and other materials related to his work for Senator Frank Church. Topics include political campaigns and strategy, foreign policy, and intelligence agency reform. Items of note include an address given by the then junior senator Joe Biden at Bowdoin College about the state of the Intelligence community in 1977, and original artwork by Joel Filártiga, Paraguay whose son was a victim of the political murders in Paraguay.
