Scope and Content: Correspondence, exhibit preparation files, exhibit notices, catalogs, artists' Christmas cards, clippings and photographs, all relating to Harrington's work as curator at the Henry Art Gallery and as an arts consultant; 1963-1982.

Also research files, tape recorded interviews and transcripts used for her book, Ceramics in the Pacific Northwest, 1979.

Scope and Content: Correspondence, writings, speech notes, ephemera, clippings, photographs, tape-recorded interviews (LaMar Harrington, interviewer), transcripts of the interviews, and other papers related to her career and especially to her late career as director of Bellevue Art Museum; also as an arts consultant.

The interviews and transcripts (in Box 2) document the Pilchuck School.

Professional papers include correspondence and memoranda related to Harrington's forced resignation from the Henry Art Gallery in 1975. Also includes several interview transcripts and sound recordings from Harrington's work on the Archives of American Art and Northwest Oral History projects.
