Biographical Note
John D. Cress, "the Forest Fotographer," was a Seattle photographer located at 1330 7th, who specialized in photographing the lumber industry.
Content Description
The album begins with an examination of old growth timber in the northwest and then depicts the various activities of felling trees, transporting them, and milling them, ending with a load of timber ready for shipment.
