American Society of Civil Engineers, Montana Section Records, 1946-1976

This collection includes the constitution, bylaws and amendments of the Montana Section of the ASCE. Minutes, annual reports and annual meetings for the Montana Section and joint meetings/seminars and conventions were collected. Annual reports, correspondence, and newsletters of the Student Chapter of Montana State College are present. Member lists of the Montana Section and assorted branch membership lists along with committee assignments through the years are represented. Correspondence and associated papers between the Section and National (ASCE) offices as well as correspondence within the Section, by the Branches and with District 12 (Pacific Northwest Council) were saved by respective Presidents of the Section. Accumulations of the Montana Section's Treasurer's reports, bills, receipts, bank statements, ledgers and correspondence along with some years of financial materials from individual branches are in the collection. Assorted manuals, brochures, individual problems and conference papers, a fund raising program, award announcements and certificates for the entire Society and the Section were preserved along with newsletters of the Section, ASCE and individual Sections of the Pacific Northwest Council. These miscellaneous items have been grouped in appropriate files at the end of the collection. Files are arranged chronologically by categories.
