Historical Note
The "Seattle Sun" was a weekly liberal newspaper established in 1974. Its circulation was good when it was free, but readership declined with subscription fees beginning in 1976. From that time financial problems were increasingly acute. The last issue was published on January 6, 1982.
Content Description
Historical/organizational features, correspondence, minutes, financial records, production records and related files.
This accession documents the efforts of people who were really amateurs to run a newspaper, and the financial problems attached to a failing business.
