Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Josh Scheuerman is a painter, graphic designer and photographer known for using his artistic talents to promote community and environmental activism originally from West Valley City, UT. Working thoughtfully and collaboratively to carve a niche in the artistic landscape of Salt Lake City since 1999, he's driven by a passion for art and the importance of storytelling. He's traversed varied creative paths, tackling everything from journalism, publishing, and concert photography, to web design, editing, and ultimately, visual art and design. Notable works extend across a wide spectrum of clients, including INDUSTRY, WeWork, STRUCK, Cafe Rio, Stein-Eriksen Lodge, Laziz, POWDR CORP, The Canyons, RoHa Brewery, Brighton Ski Resort, and others, totaling more than 151 murals throughout the western United States.
In the early 2000s, Scheuerman worked and wrote articles for SLUG (Salt Lake Underground) Magazine, writing about snowboarding and music.

The collection also includes interviews done by Scheuerman for his articles for SLUG Magazine, including the bands Avail, Good Charlotte, and 311, as well as snowboarders such as Bjorne Leines and Dimitrije Milovich. This collection is digitized.

Produced by GNU Meal. This experimental video is a bizarre combination of snowboarding and abstract horror. It contains footage of snowboarders riding in the mountains and catching huge air interwoven with completely unrelated footage. Most of the unrelated footage depicts an elegant dinner party with an elderly hostess. The majority of the video has been dramatically slowed down, giving some of the characters uncanny, deep voices. Eerie sound effects, echoes, music, and speech are used throughout. There is a rapping snowboarder.
