Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Claude Killion (1892-1971) and his wife, Marguerite Killion (1897-1989), were residents of Los Angeles, California, where Claude Killion worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. The couple belonged to a rail club and a camera club, and, after Claude Killion's retirement, they traveled by train, taking scenic photographs.

Collection consists of 67 color slides taken by Claude and Marguerite Killion circa 1953-1954. Images depict nature, people, and industrial scenes in Oregon, including waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, fishing at Celilo Falls, Bonneville Dam, Mount Hood, Portland, the Rogue River, Tillamook, and the Oregon coast. Some slides are numbered or have brief descriptions written on them.
