Biographical Note

Educator, journalist, businessman.

Leight Smith James Hunt was born 1855, and died 1933. He served as the president of the State Agricultural College of Iowa, 1883-1885; owner and editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, 1886-1894; and organizer of Oriental Consolidated Mines, Korea.
