Biographical Note
Hezekiah Sumner Hatch (1886-1919) was born in Logan, Utah. He enrolled in the Brigham Young College at Logan in 1902 and graduated in 1905. Later that year Hatch was called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve as a missionary in Great Britain. He served in the Hull and York areas of Great Britain for two years. After returning to Logan, Hatch established the Hatch Insurance Agency where he worked until his death in 1919.

The Hezekiah Sumner Hatch photograph collection consists of 631 images concerning the family of Hezekiah Sumner Hatch including Hezekiah Sumner Hatch, Olive Baker Hatch, and their daughter Alice Fay Hatch spanning from 1880 to 1958. Included are photographs from Hezekiah Sumner Hatch's mission to Hull and York, England, and photographs of Olive Baker Hatch and the children in Southern California, where they moved after Hezekiah's death in 1919. Also included in the collection are many personal and family portraits, postcards, landscapes, and photographs of family gravestones.
