Historical NoteReturn to Top
Charlotte Lewis was born to Maris and Henrietta Lewis in Iowa in 1896. By 1910 the family had moved to Moscow, Idaho. Charlotte Lewis was a University of Idaho student. She was a member of the Kappa Sigma, and majored in Home Economics. Charotte was also part of the English Club, Students Associations, among other social clubs. She graduated in 1918. She then worked as a Home Economics instructor at the University of Idaho in 1921. In 1918, she was in charge of the dietetic kitchen at the Red Cross Emergency hospital in Lewiston, Idaho which was created to help those afflicted with the Spanish Flu. She married Leland Irving Case in 1921 in Moscow, Idaho. Lewis died 18 June 1982 in Palo Alto, California.
