- The Evangelical Church of Christ records consists of published newsletters, pamphlets, and prosleytizing materials. In 1975, John W. Bryant (b. 1949) founded the Church of Christ (Patriarchal). Bryant was a former member of the Apostolic United Brethren and believed in the practice of polygamy. Leland F. Freeborn, also known as the Parawon Prophet, served in the Church of Christ. Historical Note
In 1975, John W. Bryant (b. 1949) founded the Church of Christ (Patriarchal). Bryant was a former member of the Apostolic United Brethren and believed in the practice of polygamy.
Leland F. Freeborn, also known as the Parawon Prophet, served in the Church of Christ. In 1981, the Church of Christ was renamed the Evangelical Church of Christ.
