Content Description

Linguistic research, funded by the Jacobs Research Fund, including recordings of interviews covering review/analysis of previously elicited narratives in Kwak'wala; new narratives and conversations in English, Kwak'wala, and Guca; and exegetical analysis of Kwak'wala texts from the Boas-Hunt corpus and field notes on contemporary Kwak'wala narratives; translations of Christian liturgy into Kwak'wala; modernizations of Alfred Hall's Kwak'wala grammar, liturgy, Christian vocabulary, and translation of the Book of Matthew; a modernization of George Dawson's 1887 Kwak'wala word-list; primers of biblical narratives; and metadata. Also includes work on Kwak'wala from Jonathan Janzen.
