Historical Note

Louis O. Williams worked as Chief Curator of Botany at the Chicago Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. He began is career in botany in Wyoming. Williams wrote The Useful Plants of Central America in 1981.

Content Description

Collection contains photographs of Wyoming landscapes, people, sheep camps, and ranches; a manuscript written by Otho Williams, Louis Williams’ grandfather; a pair of dental forceps used by Otho Williams in the early twentieth century in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; an arrowhead flaker carved from an antler; correspondence; an in memoriam card for Frank Richard Williams; a 50 cent merchandise token; and a copy of a story titled Hunting Big Game in Jackson Hole, Wyoming by James Sullivan.
