Content DescriptionReturn to Top
Box 1 consists primarily of color slides and black-and-white negatives. Slides were previously removed from carousels and organized into folders based on content. The order, content, and titles of the folders were kept the same during processing. Negatives were removed from cylinders and placed in archival sleeves by preservation. Negatives from each cylinder remain together in separate folders, and folders for each cylinder are titled and organized as best as possible based on visible content. Subjects include Rogers' family river trips; United States travel; Rogers' World War II service in locations such as France, the Philippines, and Japan.
Boxes 2 and 3 are oversize and contain pages that were removed from photograph albums; however, the photographs have not been removed from the album pages and original order is maintained. Subjects include Civilian Conservation Corps; national parks; and United States Army camps.
Due to the similarity in appearance and name between Ivard Ritchie Rogers and his twin brother Avard Ritchie Rogers, care with identification and research is advised.
