Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Thomas F. Dougherty was born in Forman, N.D. in 1915. He received his B.S. from the University of Minnesota in 1936, his M.A. in 1937 and his Ph.D. in 1942. He was a Fellow at the University of Oklahoma, 1937-1939 and a Teaching Assistant at Minnesota 1939-1942. He was an International Cancer Foundation Fellow at Yale 1942-1943 and Instructor of Anatomy and Hematology 1943-1947. He became Professor of Anatomy and Chair of the Department of Anatomy at the University of Utah in 1947 and remained so until his death in 1974.
