Biographical Note
Forester.
Albert Hale Sylvester was born in 1871 and died in 1944. He was a Forest Supervisor of the Wenatchee National Forest, 1908-1931. Sylvester mapped much of the area in the United States Geologic Survey, and then in the Forest Service named more than 3,000 place names in the area.
Content Description
Correspondence, biographical and other writings, speeches, poems, photos, and clippings, relating primarily to Sylvester's position as supervisor of Wenatchee National Forest, and to his activities mapping and naming places there.
