Historical Note
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is an integral part of the University of Washington and the UW School of Medicine, a top ranked school in research and in primary care. As the only academic psychiatry department serving the WWAMI region of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences partners with healthcare organizations and providers throughout the region to reach patients in need and to train the next generation of mental health professionals for the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
