Biographical Note
Adam H. Irving came to Spokane in 1906. A pattern maker by training, Irving worked for the Union Iron Works and for the Washington Machinery Works. During his career he supervised the construction of the Potlatch Lumber Company’s lumber mill at Potlatch, ID, and designed and supervised the construction of the Malheur Lumber Company’s mill at Burns, OR.
Content Description
The collection includes fragmentary correspondence, 1908-1943; specifications and blueprints for lumber mills and mill machinery, 1907-1917; and catalogues for various types of machinery, 1905-1920. There is also an album of cartoons and clippings relating to the National Apple Show, Spokane, 1911.
